I wish people would understand that not everyone has access to lesser known Broadway shows or the funds to even go see a show on Broadway Wicked has become a very mainstream musical bc it is easily accessible for those who don’t live near NYC

. Wicked has been done in many countries all around the world and has 2 national tours in the US. So, maybe Wicked is the only show someone has been able to see. Not everyone is fortunate enough to travel to NYC and see Broadway shows.

Wicked isnt my absolute favorite musical anymore like it used to be, but it has definitely changed my life and I will always love it.

I also agree with the *note* you included at the bottom. Since there is no technical definition of what a “real fan” is, why don’t we all stop judging each other and support each other instead.

Further, Wicked is what I like to call a “gateway musical” (it is, actually my favourite - but I have about 8 favourites). So many wonderful actors have been a part of it, either launching their careers or just allowing a wider audience to see them and their range. Even stand-bys on that show get devoted fans who will go see other shows just because they’re in it (Nikki Davis-Jones, Felicia Ricci, Ashleigh Gray, I am looking at you gorgeous idiots). And then they’ll find other shows and other actors and their life will be ruined because their bank balance will be nil.
